The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruku Aliyu Musa Enabo, on Thursday in Birnin Kebbi donated over 70 vehicles and 225 motorcycles to APC coordinators and National Assembly legislators to facilitate the 2027 polls.
While handing over the vehicles to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, Enabo said 21 coordinators from the 21 local government areas would get one saloon vehicle each, three senators would get two each, and seven members of the House of Representatives would get one each.
The PWA boss further disclosed that the State APC Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, and the Zonal Vice-Chairman, Shehu Idris, got a Lexus jeep each to facilitate their electioneering campaign, while the 225 ward coordinators received a fully kitted motorcycle each.
Enabo noted that the donations were personal and unconnected with the finances of his office, as widely speculated on social media, describing the accusations as the handiwork of failed politicians from the opposition parties.
He explained that he was a beneficiary of the governor’s benevolence through the award of contracts on different occasions, saying the profits he generated were what he saved and used to buy the vehicles and motorcycles to support Governor Idris’s political journey.
In his remarks, Governor Idris expressed delight over the genuine gesture of political alliance, worthy of commendation because it would go a long way to support not only him but the party in the next few weeks of electioneering and voting.
He therefore charged all political office holders to emulate Enabo by contributing their quota according to their levels to demonstrate their unalloyed loyalty to him and the party at large, noting that it would be the only way to show they were loyal members of the APC at all levels.
