The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Simon Bako Lalong, has led members of the National Assembly from Plateau State to condole with the family of former Governor of Plateau State, Chief Joshua Chibi Dariye, over the death of his granddaughter, Hannah Nanpeh Chimamanda Dariye Defwan, aged nine.
Senator Lalong and the Plateau National Assembly Caucus joined the family at the funeral service and interment held at the Guards Brigade Cemetery, Asokoro-Maitama Expressway, Abuja, where they expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family over the painful loss.
Senator Lalong described the death of the young Hannah as deeply painful, noting that the loss of a child at such a tender age is a particularly difficult experience for any family.
He urged Chief Joshua Dariye and members of the family to take solace in the memories of their beloved grand daughter and to remain strong in the face of the tragedy.
On behalf of the Plateau State delegation in the National Assembly, Senator Lalong extended deepest condolences to the Dariye family on this painful loss and prayed that God Almighty will comfort the family, grant them strength at this very difficult time and grant the deceased eternal rest.
