The Nasarawa State Government has expressed its commitment to sustaining a conducive business environment for investors to enable their businesses to thrive in the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Labaran Magaji, gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nasarawa State Branch, on a courtesy call on Wednesday in his office in Lafia.
According to him, the state has embraced ease of doing business policies and also carried out several development projects; this, he said, has clearly demonstrated the state’s commitment to making the state a business hub for investors.
He highlighted the development projects to include road network, agriculture, mining, education, health and human capital through prudent management of the state’s resources.
Earlier speaking, Mrs Njideka Nwabukwu, CBN Branch Controller, Lafia, who led the delegation, said the visit was aimed at exploring areas of collaboration to deepen financial inclusion and ensure banking services reach all parts of the state.
She commended the Nasarawa State Government for its support in ensuring the CBN Lafia branch operates optimally.
“We are also here to explore areas of collaboration with the state in terms of furthering banking services in the state.
“How can the central bank, the bankers committee in the state, ensure that all nooks and crannies of the state have access to banking services, So this is a major area of collaboration that we will likely explore,” she said.
