Senator Lalong celebrates Emir of Wase on birthday

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, has felicitated with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Wase, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammadu Sambo Haruna, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a message of congratulations, Senator Lalong described the Emir of Wase as one of the foremost traditional rulers in Plateau State and a highly respected religious and community leader whose contributions to peace, unity and development continue to impact the state and the nation positively.

The Senator commended the royal father for his unwavering commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethnic and religious groups within his domain and beyond.

He noted that the Emir has remained a pillar of wisdom and moderation, deploying his influence and leadership to foster harmony, mutual understanding and stability in Plateau South and across the state.

According to Senator Lalong, the Emir’s reign has been characterized by dedication to the welfare of his people, support for government initiatives and active participation in efforts aimed at sustaining peace and development in the region.

The former Governor also expressed deep appreciation for the personal support, guidance and encouragement he has received from the Emir over the years, describing him as a dependable father figure and trusted partner in the collective quest for the progress of Plateau State.
