The governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Climate Change, Professor Al-Amin Mohammed, called for unified Northern action on clean transport, emphasizing how CNG can reduce fuel costs by 50 percent and ease the burden on farmers and traders.

Prof. Al-Amin explained that the initiative targets reducing transport costs, lowering food prices, and combating inflation across Northern Nigeria.

“With Katsina State already achieving over 1,020 megawatts in renewable energy generation and committing ₦19.89 billion to solar expansion, the Governor demonstrated that clean energy is not just achievable but economically viable,” the governor aide stressed.

The event brought together government officials, industry stakeholders, and development partners to chart a path toward sustainable transport and green industrialisation across the region.
