Wellbeing of Pilgrims paramount to us- NCPC boss

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev Yakubu Pam says the wellbeing of pilgrims is most paramount to the commission. He noted that issues of pilgrim’s health and environment would not be taken for granted, adding that security and safety were also put into consideration. He made this disclosure on friday in Amman Jordan when he and his delegation inspected the Hotels in Jordan. This is contained in a statement made available by Godiya Mathew NCPC Information Officer 1 ,saying , Pam and his delegations were pleased with the hotels they inspected in Jordan. According to him we ensured we got facilities that met up with the standard and requirement of the delegation. He added that the Commission was set for the 2021 general pilgrimage exercise. Pam further said the delegation on the visited Bethany, which is beyond the Jordan; where they saw the traditional baptismal site of our Lord Jesus Christ. Other sites also visited were the Mount Nebo, where, the delegation marveled at the view where Moses looked across to the promised land and where he was later buried. Prayers were said by the NCPC Board Chairman, Rev. Yomi Kasali on the Mount. The NCPC Boss also conducted an inspection of the aircraft at the Queen Alia Airport, with him at the inspection were representatives of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA. He said they made a physical inspection of the aircraft, affirmed that the aircraft used by the Commission is an operational aircraft. Pam acknowledged that NCAA already has a longtime relationship with the Jordanian aviation authorities and as such, no problem would envisaged. “We were informed that the technical inspection of the aircraft would be conducted three weeks before the commencement of the pilgrimage exercise. ” With the state of readiness Visit coming to an end, the Commission,with the NCPC Head of Operations, Mr. Abu Okpanachi present, the state pilgrimage managers are to go back and start preparations in earnest for the forth coming pilgrimage exercise “. The Executive Secretary said early preparations would lead to ensuring a successful and hitch free exercise.
