Borno Killings: Tumsah tasks security agencies on intelligence gathering, commiserates with Zulum

Alhaji Tijjani Tumsah, the former Interim National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) has commiserates with the Gov. Umara Zulum of Borno and the people of the state over the killings of farmers on rice fields at Zabarmari in Jere Local Government Area.

Tumsah, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said the grousome killings of farmers was a huge loss not just to their families and the state, but the nation at large

The APC Chieftain, who condemned the unwarranted killings of innocent Nigerians by the insurgents and called on the security agencies to step up intelligence gathering to prevent further loss of lives of harmless Nigerians in the state and beyond.

He appealed to people and community leaders at all levels to assist the security in intelligence gathering and sharing and to continue to live together in peace and harmony and not allow divisive elements to put a wedge between them. Remember security is everybody’s business and should not be left alone for security personnel alone.

He encourage the residents of Borno and the country in general to go about their lawful activities without fear as President Muhammadu Buhari is up and doing to stop the insecurity in the North East and the country in general.

The APC Chieftain urged leadership of the security and law enforcement agencies to take proactive action to safeguard the nation against insecurity.

He prayed may the Almighty Allah grant rest to the souls of the departed.

Similarly, Tumsah expressed concern over the rate of kidnappings and killings in the North West which had render many people homeless.
