Ag NYCN chair in Nasarawa State sets up committee to investigate 2 suspended officials
Malam Umar Mohammed-Rabiu, the acting Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Nasarawa State , has set up a four-member committee to investigate allegation of misconduct leveled against two suspended officials.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mohammed-Rabiu in Keffi on Wednesday.
Mohammed-Rabiu said that the committee was set up, following the suspension of the Vice Chairman, South, Mohammed Liman-Mainoma and the Council’s Secretary, Akolo David over allegations of misconduct.
The committee has Mr Ibrahim Abogye as chairman, Santos Dandos, Yakubu A. Madaki as members while Mercy Egoh Yari, would serve as secretary.
He said that the committee would investigate the alleged financial misconduct against the suspended officials and also find out the real age of the suspended Vice chairman.
Mohammed-Rabiu also said that the committee, would investigate the alleged bridling of youth progress in the state, through promotion of tribal and religious sentiments among others and to investigate the activities of the council and who are responsible for all its setback.
Reacting, the alleged suspended officials, Liman-Mainoma and David dismissed the allegations levelled against them, saying that they were not true.
