Nigeria Youth Compact on COVID-19 Commences Recruitment of State Coordinators across 36 State and FCT
The Nigeria Youth Compact on COVID-19 (NYCC) is recruiting competent and qualified youth leaders across the 36 states of Nigeria and FCT to serve as state coordinators
Prince Chibuike Echem, Vice Chairman and Head of State Affairs of the compact issued the statement in Abuja on Friday
Echem said that the compact would also be recruiting competent youth leaders, on a volunteer basis, to fill the vacant position of state coordinators across the 36 state of Nigeria and FCT Abuja
He said that preference would be given to youths from 18-40 years, with registered youth- base organization at the state level with evidence of functional office and proof of strong social media compliance.

Aluta News reports that Nigeria Youth Compact on COVID-19 was unveiled on Tuesday June 2, 2020 in Abuja
The aim of the project is to domesticate the Global Compact for Youth in humanitarian action and COVID-19, and to complement Federal Government’s efforts at mitigating the spread and impacts of the pandemic at various levels in the country.
The project which is also envisaged to engage about Ten Million (10,000,000) Nigerian Youths in various Humanitarian and COVID-19 Response efforts across the country, will serve as an information hub, where stakeholders can learn more about the Pandemic and many of the major initiatives on COVID-19.

This is a noble gesture worthy of emulation. It is apparently clear to all that the devastating effect of covid-19 to global economy is unquantifiable and as such drastic measures should be taken to Ameliorate the pandemic.
On my part I have been involved in community awareness campaigns, street road walk and distribution of palliatives to the vulnerable to cushion the strains of the pandemic.
In the light of the above, I will love to contribute my expertise and render my services as an integral part of the Nigeria Youth Compact on Covid-19
