Stakeholders of Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Ahmed Wadada, All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Nasarawa State and other APC candidates in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made at a stakeholders meeting of political appointees, elected officials and party leaders from Toto LGA held on Tuesday in Lafia at the office of the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government.
The stakeholders comprising elected officials and political appointees unanimously pledged to deliver bloc votes for APC in Toto LGA.

The endorsement was given to Sen. Wadada, APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Albashir Alhassan for House of Representatives, Abdullahi Sa’ad for a second term in the State Assembly representing Umaisha/Ugya, and Murtala Ahmed for Toto/Gadabuke constituency.
Magaji, who is also the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, said the meeting was to re-appraise the outcome of a recent meeting with Gov. Abdullahi Sule to strengthen communication among political appointees from Toto.
Magaji said all key figures, including former council chairmen, special assistants and special advisers, were now aligned to work in the interest of the governor to bring victory for the APC.
The SSG said that a comprehensive list of political appointees with their wards, phone numbers and WhatsApp contacts would be compiled for effective communication, adding that each ward would have a leader who would be held responsible for party activities.
“Let’s drop our ego and identify people who can work and give them the assignment. A lot of people want to work but are not given the opportunity,” he said.
In his remarks, the member representing Umaisha/Ugya constituency, Mr Abdullahi Sa’ad, said that though he was not a government appointee but an elected lawmaker, he had no option but to support the government to succeed.
“This is our government. If the government succeeds, all of us collectively have succeeded. The government has done a lot for us as a local government, and nobody can deny that,” Sa’ad said.
He pledged the collective commitment of the people of Umaisha constituency to support the administration.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Gwamna Gaza, called on party members to move past divisions, competition for positions and ego, noting that leadership and political roles are rotational.
He urged stakeholders to focus on their respective wards and work collectively from there, treating one another as brothers and sisters to ensure victory for the party.
On his part, the Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, Ahmed-Baba Yahaya, thanked stakeholders for their support.
He emphasised the need to strengthen electoral units to ensure resources reach the grassroots and called for unity and accountability among party members for the collective progress of the party.
