Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated the State Statistician-General, Prof. Saifullahi Ibrahim, on his appointment as Chairman of the North West Statisticians-General Forum.
Governor Radda described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Prof. Ibrahim’s professional competence, experience and commitment to strengthening the use of reliable data for planning and development.
The Governor noted that effective governance increasingly depends on accurate statistics, stressing that credible data enables governments to understand the needs of the people, plan appropriately and measure the impact of public programmes.
He expressed confidence that Prof. Ibrahim would bring his experience to bear in strengthening cooperation among statistics agencies across the North West and promoting better standards in data collection, management and application.
Governor Radda urged him to see the appointment as another opportunity to contribute to the development of the region and further demonstrate the capacity of professionals from Katsina State.
The Governor wished Prof. Ibrahim a successful tenure and assured him of the State Government’s support as he takes on the additional responsibility.
