Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting elective positions to commence house-to-house campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The governor gave the directive while receiving a high-powered delegation led by Barrister Abba Dahiru Mangal, an APC House of Representatives aspirant, during a thank-you visit.

“Candidates must go back to the grassroots, engage directly with the people, and seek their support, prayers, and blessings,” Governor Radda said.

He added “This includes reaching out to key stakeholders, community leaders, and Islamic clerics across the state.”

He noted that such efforts are crucial to strengthening the party’s chances in the forthcoming elections.

Governor Radda also commended aspirants who stepped down for Barrister Abba Dahiru Mangal in the House of Representatives race.

“Their decision is a strong demonstration of unity, loyalty, and political maturity within our party,” he added.

The governor further attributed the widespread support enjoyed by Abba Mangal to the goodwill and philanthropic legacy of his father, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal.

“Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal is a respected figure known for his generosity and consistent support to the less privileged,” the governor said.

In his remarks, Barrister Abba Dahiru Mangal praised Governor Radda’s leadership style, attributing the peaceful and successful conduct of the APC primaries in the state to his inclusive governance.

“The success recorded during the primaries is a clear reflection of your inclusive leadership and effective governance,” he said.

He also prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the governor to secure a successful second term in office.

Barrister Abba Mangal further assured the people of Katsina State of effective representation at the National Assembly if elected.

“I am committed to delivering quality and people-oriented representation that will benefit our constituents,” he stated.
