3 men docked over alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass, theft

Abuja, Aug. 28, 2026 (NAN) Three men were on Friday arraigned before a Chief Magistrates’ Court, Wuse, Abuja over alleged criminal conspiracy trespass and theft.
The defendants, Kalif Musa,25, Mustapha Chuda,29, and Abdulkarim Mohammed,29, both of Jahi, were arraigned on a charge of criminal conspiracy, trespass and theft.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecuting counsel, Catherine Okafor, informed the court that the complainant, Iben Olusegun of No. 13 Babatunde Ajakaiye, Abuja, reported the matter at Mabushi Police Station in Aug. 17.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant on the same date trespassed into the site of the complainant at Jahi and stole a point of sale computer, printer, fire extinguisher and a 35 litre fuel.
Okafor alleged that the trio also made away with dismantled generating set parts, motor parts, and some cut iron aside other items value yet unknown.
She said that police investigation showed that the defendants conspired and sold the stolen items to one Salisu Umar of Gishiri, Abuja.
She however said that the point of sale computer, printer and fire extinguisher was recovered.
Okafor said that the offence is contrary to Sections 97, 348, 288 and 317 of the Penal Code.
The Magistrate, M.A Saddeq, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each with one surety each in like sum.
He said that the sureties must be a civil servant of grade level 8 and provide means of identification from the organisation he/she works.
He added that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
Saddeq adjourned the matter until Oct. 13, for hearing.
