27 newly promoted FRSC officers tasked with discipline, professionalism

Jos, Aug. 26, 2026 The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has charged the 27 newly promoted officers and marshals to justify their elevation through greater discipline, professionalism and commitment to duty.
Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Joseph Udoabba, the Zonal Commanding Officer, Zone RS4, gave the charge at the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted officers on Wednesday in Jos.
Udoabba, who delivered the Corps Marshal’s message, said promotion was not merely an advancement in rank but an increase in responsibility and a renewed call to service.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. Your new ranks demand greater commitment, discipline, leadership, accountability and dedication,” he said.
The zonal commanding officer urged the newly promoted personnel to uphold the values and ideals of the FRSC and shun indiscipline, bribery, corruption and other unethical practices.
He further urged officers who were not promoted in the exercise not to be discouraged but to improve their performance and professional competence.
Udoabba reminded them that promotion is a continuous process and encouraged them to remain committed in preparation for future opportunities.
Also speaking, the Sector Commander, Dr Adelaja Ogundemi, in his remark, described the occasion as a joyful one, noting that the elevation of officers reflected their contributions and commitment.
“Your contributions and commitment have gained you this promotion as a reward. Do not relent; do not be relaxed but strive harder.” He said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 11 officers were promoted from the rank of Chief Route Commander (CRC) to Assistant Corps Commander (ACC), and four officers were promoted from Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) to CRC.
NAN also reports that eight officers were promoted from the rank of Route Commander (RC) to SRC, two officers moved from Deputy Route Commander (DRC) to SRC, and two officers moved from Assistant Route Commander (ARC) to DRC.
NAN further reports that the ceremony was witnessed by serving and retired senior officers of FRSC, the police, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and other stakeholders.
