Isaac spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after C2E defeated Kwara United Queens FC of Ilorin 4-2 in the first semi-final to qualify for the final.
NAN reports that the victory also secured promotion for C2E to the NWFL Championship.
Isaac said promotion was the team’s major target at the competition and expressed delight that the objective had been achieved.
“We have achieved our target in this competition, which is promotion.
“We are now going to enjoy the final because the most important thing for us, which is qualification for the Championship, has been achieved,” he said.
The coach commended Kwara United Queens for their performance, saying the Ilorin-based side gave his players a tough challenge.
He said the encounter would also provide his team with valuable lessons ahead of future competitions.
Reacting, Coach Abdullahi Ganiyu of Kwara United Queens said the final scoreline did not reflect the true nature of the match.
“We prepared well for this match and the players played well, but man proposes and God disposes. We lost to a better side.
