The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Simon Bako Lalong, has felicitated with the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Daniel Gapyil Naanlong, on the occasion of his birthday.
Senator Lalong described Rt. Hon. Naanlong as a committed legislator, dependable political associate and distinguished son of Plateau South who has devoted many years to the service of his people and the development of the state.
The former Governor recalled with fondness the period when Rt. Hon. Naanlong served as Majority Leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly during his administration as Governor, noting that their collaboration at the time contributed significantly to the stability of government and the advancement of the state.
He commended the Speaker for his years of effective representation of the people of Mikang and for the leadership qualities he has continued to demonstrate in his present position as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Senator Lalong further appreciated Rt. Hon. Naanlong for sustaining their partnership beyond their years in government, particularly in advancing initiatives and projects that contribute to the welfare and development of the people of Plateau South Senatorial District.
Senator Lalong prayed God to grant the Speaker continued good health, wisdom, strength and many more years of fruitful service to Plateau State and the nation.
He wished Rt. Hon. Naanlong a happy birthday and renewed his commitment to working with him and other stakeholders towards advancing the interests of the people of Plateau South and Plateau State.
