Bauchi State Government in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Golden Contractors Group signed two landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) commencing significant step towards strengthening international investment and accelerating socio economic development across key sectors of the state.
The Secretary to the State government (SSG) Aminu Hammayo and Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Hassan El-Yakub (SAN) signed the agreements on behalf of Bauchi State Government, alongside the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Contractors Group, Mr. Muhammad Faisal Al-Harbi, under the watch of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, at government house Bauchi.
Shortly after the signing ceremony, Alhaji Hammayo explained that the first MoU provides a framework for the annual provision of hard services to the Bauchi State Government by the Saudi based company.
According to the SSG, the second MoU establishes a strategic partnership between Bauchi State and Golden Contractors Group in the areas of agriculture, mining, infrastructure, tourism, and hospitality, with both parties committing to explore and develop the state’s vast economic potential.
The agreements followed days of extensive discussions between the State Government and the Saudi delegation, as well as inspection visits by members of the delegation to various locations across the state to assess investment opportunities and development prospects.
They expressed optimism that the partnership would usher in a new era of economic cooperation, attract foreign direct investment, create employment opportunities, and promote sustainable development for the benefit of the people of Bauchi State.
They described the signing of the MoUs as the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship between Bauchi State and Golden Contractors Group and as well a major milestone in strengthening economic ties between Bauchi State and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
