The Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, KASEDA, has hosted its 2026 MSME Town Hall Meeting in Katsina, bringing together entrepreneurs, business associations, and representatives of regulatory agencies to discuss ways to grow small businesses in the state.
The Director General of KASEDA, Dr. Babangida Kabir Ruma, said the engagement was aimed at listening to business owners and aligning government policies with their needs.
Ruma stated that MSMEs remain critical to job creation and economic growth, adding that the Radda administration was committed to removing bottlenecks affecting their operations.
He said participants at the meeting interacted directly with officials of NAFDAC, SON, ARCON and NEPC on issues relating to business registration, product certification, standards compliance and market access.
“Meaningful development can only happen when entrepreneurs have a platform to raise concerns and contribute ideas. KASEDA will continue to listen and work with you,” Ruma said.
The DG announced that the agency would compile a comprehensive database of business associations in the state to ensure timely dissemination of information on government programmes and opportunities.
He also highlighted ongoing interventions by the state government under Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, including a direct grant scheme for over 62,000 roadside MSMEs and an interest-free loan of ₦100,000 for rural enterprises.
Ruma assured that KASEDA would sustain its open-door policy and continue to partner with stakeholders to build a stronger and more resilient MSME ecosystem in Katsina State.
