Nonye Soludo celebrates recovery of abused 10-year-old, settles medical bills

The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has expressed joy over the full recovery of 10-year-old Chiziterem, who was allegedly abused by his guardian in Awada, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Mrs. Soludo announced that the child had been discharged from the hospital after making a full recovery.

She said she fulfilled her earlier promise by paying all of Chiziterem’s medical expenses.

Beyond the medical support, the governor’s wife also pledged to empower the boy’s mother with resources to establish a sustainable means of livelihood, aimed at improving the family’s long-term welfare.

Mrs. Soludo thanked individuals and groups who offered prayers, visited the child, sent gifts, and encouraged the family throughout the period of treatment.

She described the boy’s recovery as a powerful reminder of the impact of compassion and collective support.

She expressed gratitude for the successful outcome, noting that Chiziterem’s healing reflects the positive difference that acts of kindness can make in the lives of vulnerable children.

The Governor’s wife reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the welfare and protection of children across Anambra State, while encouraging continued compassion towards victims of abuse and other vulnerable members of society.
