Adamawa state has issued a stern warning to political office holders and appointed politician involved in recent defections, are been directed to either resign voluntarily or face immediate termination along with the forfeiture of all associated benefits.
The directive is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahamdu Umaru Fintiri Humeashi Wonosikau in Yola.
This directive is coming amid growing concerns over political loyalty and accountability within government institutions.
According to the directive, Officials who have switched allegiance to opposing parties are being reminded of the ethical and legal implications of their actions while still holding positions under their former affiliations.
A sources familiar with the development, the move is aimed at maintaining discipline and ensuring that public servants uphold the mandates under which they were appointed.
The directive further noted that, “failure to comply with the directive may result in strict administrative actions, including dismissal and the loss of entitlements tied to their offices.
