Practice politics devoid of rancour, bitterness- Former Speaker tells Kebbi politicians

A former Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sama’ila Abdulmumin Kamba, has cautioned politicians against engaging in the politics of bitterness and blackmail.

He told Journalists in Birnin Kebbi, on Tuesday, that the political tide in the country was a little hazy, which made it incumbent on the political class to play the politics of unity, brotherhood and nation building.

“We all know that some problems exist in our political landscape, but they are surmountable with collective efforts.

“In Nigeria today, we have insecurity and disharmony in some communities, our leadership can overcome them with patriotism, sincerety and good governance”, Kamba said.

The former Speaker also added that: “I’m confident that we shall all soon smile in a peaceful, secured Nigeria as a land of abundance.

“The people of Kebbi are lucky to have Comrade Nasir Idris as their governor who has the antecedent of benevolence and compassion”.

“Tthe Governor had been trying his best to improve the wellbeing of Kebbi inhabitants, it’s obligatory on us to give him the necessary support for a second tenure to complete the good work already started”, he revealled .

Speaking on the newly elected Speaker, Kamba,also the Sark in Zabarmawan Kabi, described him as an honest, commuted and capable politician that would consolidate the gains of democracy by fostering cordial relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in the state.

He therefore called on members of the State Assembly to support the new Speaker as Nigeria moved closer to electioneering period that would shape the political future of Nigeria.
