Their relentless pressure finally paid off in the 80th minute when Moses Farkikyen reacted quickest to head home a rebound from Hembafan’s brilliant curler, bringing the game back to a deserved 1-1 level pegging.
The unthinkable happened in the 82nd minute, as the sensational Hembafan decided the tie herself, unleashing a spectacular, unstoppable 25-yard strike to put the final nail in the coffin and secure the monumental victory for the Amazons.
With this famous win, Nasarawa Amazons have erased the painful memories of losing the 2025 title to the same opponents and now sit comfortably at the top of the Super Six table with a perfect 6 points from two games.
