Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, on Saturday carried out a series of community and humanitarian engagements across Katagum Emirate.
The visit focused on strengthening ties with traditional institutions, stakeholders, youth, women groups, and party members.

Key engagements included: Wedding Attendance: Senator Buba attended the wedding of Mubarak Muhammadu Abubakar Sade, son of his Director-General, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Sade. The ceremony in Azare drew political leaders, traditional title holders, and community members from across Bauchi State. The senator congratulated the couple and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous union.
Condolence Visit: He paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Turakin Katagum, Alhaji Muhammadu Gadauji. Senator Buba described the deceased as a man of wisdom and service whose contributions to Katagum’s unity and development would be remembered. He prayed for the repose of his soul and comfort for the family.
Media Engagement: At FM Falcon 100.3 Azare, the senator commended the station’s role in public education and community connection. He urged media organizations to uphold responsible journalism and support initiatives that promote peace and democratic participation.
4. Stakeholder Meetings: Senator Buba held a courtesy visit with CP Baba Mohammed, Sarkin Noman Katagum, to discuss community development, youth empowerment, agriculture, and social cohesion. He later met with youth and women associations at Snow White Hall, Azare, where he thanked them for their loyalty and reaffirmed his commitment to policies on education, economic growth, and inclusive governance.
Senator Shehu Buba Umar, the PRP gubernatorial candidate, also undertook a facility tour of Falcon FM 100.3, the only private radio station serving the Northern and Central zones of Bauchi State.”
The senator was accompanied by Senator Samaila Kaila, Hon. Tijjani Aliyu, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Sade, Hon. Kashuri, Hon. Shuaibu Rahama, former APC Chairman Alhaji Hussaini Sani Tulu, Alhaji Abubakar Dahuwa, Sarkin Yamman Katagum, and other political and community leaders.
The visit further consolidated Senator Buba’s relationship with Katagum constituents and underscored his commitment to sustained engagement across Bauchi South.
