30 Taraba youths complete seed education training, hold convocation in India

Thirty youths sponsored by the Taraba State Government have successfully completed a specialized training programme on Seed Education and Enterprise Development at the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, India.

The training programme culminated in a Valedictory Session and Convocation Ceremony, where the participants were formally recognized for successfully completing the course.

The beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for providing them with the opportunity to acquire international knowledge and skills in seed production and agribusiness development. They also commended the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Prof. Nicholas Namessan and Dr. Sarah SD Ali for their support, guidance, and commitment towards the success of the programme.

The participants further appreciated the management of Prasad Seeds Limited, led by Chairman and CEO Dileep, as well as the Institute of Public Enterprise, for their support and quality training throughout the programme.

The beneficiaries stated that the knowledge and skills acquired during the training would be deployed to improve seed production, enhance modern farming practices, strengthen agricultural value chains, boost food security, and support the ongoing agricultural transformation agenda of Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas.

They further pledged to utilize the experience gained from the programme to advance agricultural development in the state through increased productivity, agribusiness growth, job creation, and sustainable farming practices.

The valedictory session and convocation ceremony marked the successful completion of the programme and further strengthened agricultural cooperation and knowledge exchange between Nigeria and India.
