President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and national renewal as Muslims mark Eid El Kabir.
In a message Akpabio says the Eid-el-Kabir is a time for prayer and reflection on the values of devotion, selflessness, and obedience as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He congratulated President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world calling on citizens to use the solemn period to pray for peace, security, and prosperity, and to also remember troops on the frontlines and farmers returning to their fields.
He stressed that unity must prevail over division and that the love and generosity shown during the season reflect the true spirit of Nigeria.
Akpabio said the patience, tolerance, and hope Nigerians choose today will determine the future for the next generation as the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, supported by the National Assembly, is built on the principle that meaningful progress is possible through collective sacrifice.
