Senator Lalong celebrates Rev. Sr. Dimlong at 80

The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, has extended warm congratulations to Rev. Sr. Mary Patrick Dimlong on the occasion of her 80th birthday.

 

Senator Lalong describes Sister Dimlong as an exceptional servant of God and humanity whose life has been marked by unwavering dedication to the mission of the Catholic Church and the upliftment of society through education and selfless service.

 

He notes with admiration her remarkable contributions as an educationist, particularly her impactful tenure as Principal of St. Louis College, Jos, where she served diligently for 25 years, shaping the lives and character of countless young Nigerians who have gone on to make meaningful contributions to society.

 

The Senator also commends her outstanding leadership roles within the Church, including her service as Superior General of the Our Lady of Fatima (OLF) Sisters, Education Secretary of the Catholic Archdiocese of Jos, and President of the Nigeria Conference of Women Religious.

 

He said these positions reflect her integrity, discipline, and commitment to faith-based service and nation-building.

Senator Lalong states that Sister Dimlong’s life remains a shining example of humility, sacrifice, and devotion, inspiring generations to pursue lives of purpose, compassion, and service to others.
