Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Dr Labaran Magaji has drummed support for Governor Abdullahi Sule’s preferred aspirant, Sen Aliyu Wadada and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Magaji stated this during a meeting with the Permanent Secretaries and Directors from Ministries, Agencies, and Departments, held separately in his office in Lafia.

Magaji who is also the state Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, appealed to permanent secretaries and directors on behalf of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to support Sen. Wadada to emerge victorious.

“Governor Sule has kept to his word, for fairness, he zoned the governorship seat to Nasarawa West and announced his preferred aspirant, Sen. Wadada. Having done that, he seeks your support and understanding.

The SSG also announced that Governor Sule has purchased his expression of interest and nomination forms for the Senate seat of the Nasarawa North Senatorial District.

Magaji conveyed the message of appreciation from the governor to both the permanent secretaries and directors for their support extended to his administration.

“He also asked me to commend you, even though he has done that personally, but to tell you how much he valued your support during the last solidarity rally in his honour, and the kind of contribution you have given for the success of that rally,” he said.

The SSG also commended the permanent secretaries and directors for standing by the oath of secrecy they have sworn to, noting that they have introduced sanity in the system which stopped unauthorised leakage of information.

“With the set of permanent secretaries that we have, it clearly shows that we are fully in charge and in control of the respective Ministries, and I urge you to continue strengthening your records,” he said.

Responding, Abigail Waya, the State Head of Civil Service, who spoke on behalf of the permanent secretaries and directors, said the choice of Governor Sule’s preferred aspirant was in the interest of fairness, and assured civil servants’ loyalty and support for the Governor.

“Our loyalty is total as civil servants,
So whoever the governor has chosen, we’ll go with him,” she said.
