The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Kaduna Area Command, Comptroller Saad Hassan, has reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to the welfare and professional development of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the Command.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kaduna by Chief Superintendent of Customs Ridwan Yusuf, the Command’s Public Relations Officer.
According to the statement, Hassan gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Efeke Dadaza, at the NYSC Secretariat in Kaduna.
Comptroller Hassan said corps members attached to the Command are fully integrated into various administrative and operational units, where they receive hands-on training in public service management.
He added that the initiative reflects the Command’s contribution to national development through the mentorship of young Nigerians in professionalism, discipline, and ethics.
The statement quoted Dadaza as commending the Command for its continuous support and hospitality toward corps members posted to the Service.
She appealed for sustained opportunities for corps members to learn workplace ethics, acquire professional discipline, and gain practical experience to prepare them for post-service careers.
The coordinator also emphasised the need to prioritise the welfare of corps members throughout their service year.
According to the statement, the visit featured an interactive session that allowed both parties to share ideas on strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Customs Service and the NYSC.(NAN)
