The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has advised security agencies, youth organizations, and the public to disregard any newly elected leadership claiming to represent the NYCN. This directive follows the Corporate Affairs Commission’s (CAC) withdrawal of NYCN’s registration certificate due to prolonged leadership crises and governance issues.

The IMC, established by the CAC, is tasked with managing NYCN’s affairs for one year and organizing elections for leadership positions in accordance with statutory governance standards.

Aluta News reports that the CAC’s intervention was necessitated by the NYCN’s prolonged leadership crisis, which had resulted in unending litigation, repeated conflicts, and leadership factions.
