In an extraordinary display of endurance and skill, Nigerian barber Joshua Aiyeniro, popularly known as T-Jos, has successfully completed the Guinness World Records for the longest premium haircuts marathon. The seven-day challenge, which commenced last Tuesday at exactly 10 pm at the Velodrome, Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, came to a close today, Monday, June 17, 2025, at precisely 10 pm.
T-Jos spent 168 active hours on the challenge, but according to Guinness World Records rules, he was entitled to one hour of rest after every 12 hours. After deducting the 14 hours of rest taken, T-Jos officially completed the record-breaking attempt in 154 hours.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was present at the venue earlier to officially declare the countdown to the closing ceremony. His presence, along with other prominent figures, underscored the significance of T-Jos’s achievement and the impact it has on promoting skill acquisition and inspiring the youth.
