The forum’s demand for the rotation of the NYCN presidency to the North is based on the constitutional provision for power rotation between the North and South. “The NYCN Northern Stakeholders Reiterate its position that the next NYCN president should come from the Northern Nigeria, based on the constitutional provision that power should rotate between North and South; and any encumbrances that will hinder the return of NYCN Presidency to the North will be strongly rejected,” the communique read.

This development is significant for the NYCN and the Nigerian youth, as it highlights the importance of leadership rotation and the need for inclusive decision-making. The forum’s demands and commendations are expected to shape the future of youth development initiatives in the country.
