In a bid to promote the welfare and development of vulnerable children, the Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Acharu Opaluwa, has marked the 2025 Children’s Day celebrations with visits to two orphanages in the nation’s capital.
The visits, which took the Director to the Ark of Refuge Orphanage in Kubwa and Osaze We Care Foundation Orphanage and Less Privilege Home in Apo Dutse, were aimed at promoting quality education and skill development among the children. During the visits, Director Opaluwa emphasized the importance of education in enhancing the total well-being of children, encouraging them to remain hardworking and focused despite their current circumstances.

In a gesture of goodwill, the NOA team distributed gifts and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to the children, bringing joy and hope to their lives. This initiative underscores the agency’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children and promoting their development.
Prior to the orphanage visits, Director Opaluwa paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, seeking blessings and support as she begins her tenure. The Royal Father commended the Director for her initiative and encouraged the Agency to continue disseminating information to the grassroots level, noting that it helps bring governance closer to the people.
