“NSCDC and IHS Nigeria Strengthen Partnership to Boost Security and Socio-Economic Progress”

In a significant development, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and IHS Nigeria have strengthened their partnership to enhance security and promote socio-economic progress in the country. The Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, paid a visit to IHS Nigeria’s headquarters in Lagos, where he was warmly received by the Executive Vice President and CEO, Mr. Mohamad Darwish.
During the meeting, Mr. Darwish commended the NSCDC’s unwavering commitment to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, highlighting the Corps’ crucial role in collaborating with the private sector to achieve its mandate. Dr. Audi assured that his administration will continue to foster collaboration with organizations that share the Corps’ vision, particularly in promoting socio-economic progress and peace in Nigeria.
In a gesture of goodwill, IHS Nigeria presented two operational vehicles to the NSCDC to boost its operational capacity in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure. The vehicles were handed over to Dr. Audi by Mr. Darwish, with the aim of enhancing the Corps’ ability to safeguard the nation’s assets and infrastructure.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), solidifying the partnership between the NSCDC and IHS Nigeria. The partnership is expected to drive national progress, enhance security, and promote socio-economic development.
The event was attended by senior officials from both IHS Nigeria and the NSCDC, including the Acting Deputy Commandant General, Dr. Eze Benito, and the Zonal Commander, Zone 1, Assistant Commandant General Akibo Olusola, among others. This development marks a significant step towards promoting national security and socio-economic progress in Nigeria.
