NLC Fumes as Police Summon President Joe Ajaero Over Terrorism Financing Allegations!

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is up in arms after its president, Joe Ajaero, received a shocking invitation from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for questioning. The police allege that Ajaero has links to terrorism financing, cybercrime, and other serious offenses.
In a strongly-worded letter from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Intelligence Response Team, Ajaero was ordered to appear for questioning or face arrest. The NLC is kicking back against this move, calling it an attempt to silence their leader.

The letter, which failed to address Ajaero by his official title, orders him to report to the Old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja, on Tuesday, 20th August 2024, at 10:00 hrs prompt. But the NLC is pushing back, accusing the police of victimizing labour leaders for the recent #EndBadGovernance protest.
“The police claim” A personal message sent to Comrade Joe Ajaero by SP Moshood said, ‘We were at the Labour House to submit this (letter of invitation) but the place was locked, sir’.
