Abuja Youth Association Hails Minister’s Proactive Approach to Development, Calls for Sustained Dialogue”

The Abuja Resident Youth Association (ARYA) has praised the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for his proactive approach in addressing youth concerns and implementing significant development initiatives in Abuja.
During a press conference held today, following a series of engagements with various stakeholders, the ARYA expressed its appreciation for the Minister’s efforts.
Comrade Akoshile Mukhtar, President of ARYA, extended gratitude to the FCT Minister for his dedication to transforming Abuja into a city that all Nigerians can take pride in.
Comrade Mukhtar, President of the ARYA commended the Honourable Minister for his unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive and progressive Abuja. He noted that the Minister’s initiatives have effectively addressed pressing concerns and laid the groundwork for sustainable development.
Emphasizing the vital importance of peace and dialogue among Abuja’s youth, Comrade Mukhtar urged them to adopt these principles as essential for achieving a truly representative government. “Nigeria belongs to all of us, and we must take ownership of it with a sense of responsibility,” he stressed. “Peace and dialogue are crucial for serving and representing every citizen. Let us work together to foster unity and collaboration.”
Reviewing the recent ministerial town hall meetings, Comrade Mukhtar highlighted their significance in bridging the gap between the government and the youth, facilitating open communication and constructive engagement.
ARYA emphasized the need for sustained dialogue between the government and youth, urging periodic engagements to ensure continuous communication and peaceful coexistence. “Regular dialogue will lead to more informed and inclusive policy-making,” he stated.
“We must recognize and support his efforts as he builds on these accomplishments.” ARYA boss encouraged the Minister to remain focused on his developmental agenda.
He declared a Week of Peace, starting next week, featuring activities such as a Peace Walk, Peace Talk, and Prayer Sessions. “This initiative will serve as a powerful reminder of our commitment to a peaceful and prosperous Abuja,” he announced.
Comrade Okpanachi Jacob, Convener of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for the Development of FCT, endorsed ARYA’s stance, praising the leadership’s efforts in addressing residents’ concerns and fostering a peaceful environment.
“The future of Abuja is in our hands,” he emphasized. “By embracing peace, dialogue, and cooperation, we can build a city that showcases the best of Nigeria.”
