In a blistering assessment, Mr Uzoh Ifeanyi, African Regional Representative of the United Nations SDG Youth, has denounced President Bola Tinubu’s address to the nation as inadequate and ineffective in addressing the hunger crisis ravaging the country.

During an interactive session on Youth House Platform, Ifeanyi lambasted the President’s response, saying it failed to provide tangible solutions to the hunger crisis, prioritized political patronage over people’s welfare, and demonstrated a lack of empathy for the suffering masses.

Ifeanyi urged the President to take immediate action, proposing a direct Presidential Palliative to the Youth Constituency, a Presidential Youth Dialogue Session to show commitment, and a reduction in Governance to demonstrate empathy.

It’s time for the President to put words into action. The people are hungry, and they need help now. It’s never too late to make things right, but the clock is ticking, Ifeanyi emphasized.

Aluta News reports that the SDG Youth have issued a strong call to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately convene an emergency dialogue session with Nigerian youth leaders, student constituencies, and critical stakeholders. This meeting aims to address the pressing concerns of young people and work collaboratively towards finding sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges.
