PCN Appeals for Calm, Urges Dialogue to Address Grievances Ahead of Planned Hunger Protest

The Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN), a non-governmental organization with over 180,000 youth volunteers, has appealed for dialogue and collective bargaining to resolve the planned hunger protest
The national commandant of PCN, Dr. Dickson Akoh, made the appeal at a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja.
The PCN has sounded the alarm on the nation’s precarious state, citing rising inflation, unemployment, hunger, and insecurity as major concerns. These issues have far-reaching consequences for the average Nigerian, particularly the youth and women, and threaten to exacerbate the country’s fragile security situation.
The PCN issues a clarion call to policymakers, stakeholders, and citizens to convene an emergency national dialogue to tackle the country’s worsening economic, security, and social crises.

Akoh has appealed to the Federal Government to support genuine youth groups like the PCN to empower youths productively, rather than resorting to protests
