In a heartwarming display of kindness and community spirit, Hajiya Fadila Ahmed, Chairperson of the Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA) Kaduna Area Command Chapter, led her members on a mission of compassion. After a successful general meeting, they visited the Customs Barracks in Kabala Kaduna, presenting gifts to wives of officers who had recently given birth, showing support and care for the nursing mothers.

But that was just the beginning! Fadila and her entourage then headed to the Customs Primary School in Barnawa Kaduna, bringing joy and excitement to the students and staff. The school’s Headmistress, who has been at the helm for 32 years, was overwhelmed with emotion, stating that this was the first time in the school’s history that the COWA Chairperson and members had visited in person. She expressed her gratitude and appealed for continued support and visits from the association.

The presence of COWA brought hope and happiness to all, as emphasized by the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale. This remarkable gesture by COWA Kaduna Chapter will be remembered for a long time, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Hajiya Fadila Ahmed, took her compassion and dedication to the next level! After a warm interaction with the students, she inspected the school’s facilities and identified areas for support. In a generous gesture, she donated approximately 1000 customized COWA exercise books and writing materials to the school, fostering a love for learning and empowering the students.

Fadila pledged to advocate for the school’s needs, ensuring that the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) is informed through the Association’s President, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi. This visit was a resounding success, concluding with a joyful group photograph that captured the smiles and gratitude of the students and staff. COWA’s commitment to education and community development shines bright, inspiring a brighter future for all!
