AbdulHamid Umar Mohd, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Northwest youth leader, has warned that the escalating insecurity and economic hardship in the region and nationwide may significantly hinder youth mobilization for the 2027 elections.

In a press release, Mohd urged the current APC-led administration at all levels to take prompt action to boost youth political engagement and participation before the upcoming elections. He emphasized the crucial role the youth from the northwest region played in the success of the current government, stressing that their contributions were instrumental and should not be forgotten.

Mohd cautioned that insecurity and economic hardship are major concerns that could prevent effective youth mobilization in 2027, and called on the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address these issues to ensure the active participation of young people in the political process.”

In a passionate appeal, AbdulHamid Umar Mohd, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Northwest youth leader, has urged the government to tackle the twin challenges of insecurity and economic hardship threatening the region’s youth. Mohd warned that if left unchecked, these issues could disenfranchise the youth and hinder their participation in the 2027 elections.

To address these challenges, Mohd proposed a multifaceted approach, including:

– Creating job opportunities to tackle unemployment
– Reducing food prices to alleviate economic hardship
– Intensifying efforts to combat insecurity

He also called for more inclusive policies, urging the government to involve youth in decision-making processes, acknowledging that they will be future leaders. “Empowering the youth is crucial for our collective future,” Mohd emphasized.

In a heartfelt gesture, Mohd extended condolences to families affected by banditry in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Katsina, acknowledging the devastating impact of insecurity on these communities. “We must unite to combat insecurity and create a safer environment for our youth and their future,” he urged.

Mohd’s appeal resonates with the urgent need for proactive measures to address the region’s challenges and ensure a brighter future for the youth.”
