Breaking: Customs Service Appoints New Deputy Comptroller Generals, ACGs

The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) made a significant announcement on Wednesday, revealing the appointment of five new Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs) and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs) of Customs. This development followed the approval and confirmation of the Customs Service Board at its 59th regular meeting held on Tuesday, May 14 at the NCS headquarters in Abuja.

According to Customs Service Spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada, the meeting was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun. The newly appointed DCGs and ACGs are seasoned officials who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in their respective fields.

The five new Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs) are:

– OO Peters, who will serve as Commander Training and Doctrine Command (rtd)
– BM Jibo, appointed as DCG Enforcement Inspection & Investigation
– BU Nwanfor, who will oversee Excise, Free Trade Zone & Industrial Incentives as DUG
– SA Bomai, appointed as DCG and Commander Training and Doctrine Command
– CK Niagwan, who will serve as DCG Tariff & Trade

The eight Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs) are:

– B Imam, appointed to the ACG Board
– AAS Oloyede, who will serve as ACG Trade & Tariff
– SK Dangaldima, appointed as ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’
– A Abdul Azeez, who will serve as ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘D’
– SA Yusuf, appointed as ACG Human Resource Development
– NP Umoh, who will serve as ACG Training and Doctrine Command
– CO Obih, appointed as ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘C’
– S Chiroma, who will serve as ACG Strategic Research and Policy

This development is expected to strengthen the leadership and operations of the Nigeria Customs Service, and the new appointees are set to bring their expertise and experience to bear in their respective roles.
