Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation’s 10th Annual Memorial Lecture to Tackle Leadership and Good Governance

The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, in collaboration with the Borno State Government, is set to host its 10th Annual Memorial Lecture on Leadership and Good Governance on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in Maiduguri, Borno State.
In a joint statement by Engr (Dr) Abubakar Gambo Umar, Director-General of the foundation, and Bar Mallam Fannami, Head of Service, Borno State.
The theme for the event is “Creating Pathways for Peace: Tackling Banditry and Insurgency through Good Governance for Sustainable Development.” This choice reflects the urgency to address Nigeria’s challenges of banditry and insurgency.
The statement said ,Keynote speaker Tijjani Bande, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and former President of the UN General Assembly, will share insights on tackling these issues through effective governance, drawing from his extensive experience in international relations.
The Special Guest of Honor, Vice President Kashim Shettima, underscores the significance of the lecture in addressing critical national issues.
The statement said ,Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum and Executive Governor of Gombe State, will serve as the Chairperson for the occasion, with Prof. Babagana U Zulum, the Governor of Borno State, as the Chief Host.
The event, expected to draw distinguished guests, including Governors, Members of the National Assembly, Ministers, Royal Fathers, and other stakeholders, aims to enrich discussions and find sustainable solutions for peace and development.
It’s further said , highlight of the ceremony to includes the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to distinguished Nigerians.
The 10th Annual Lecture on Leadership and Good Governance promises to be an enlightening and thought-provoking experience, shaping the discourse on leadership, good governance, and peacebuilding in Nigeria.
