Independence: Benue will reach top of Nigerian ranking – Alia

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, says he will strive to take the state to the top of all development rankings in the country.
The governor made the commitment during a symposium on Saturday in Makurdi organised by the state government in commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
Alia said he has drawn a workable roadmap and strategy to achieve the task.
He thanked participants and resource persons for sharing ideas on how and what can be done to move the state and country forward.
According to the governor, both the government and the citizenry must contribute to the upliftment of the state and the nation in spite of current challenges.
He urged people of the state to individually and collectively identify areas through which they will contribute to the development of Benue state and Nigeria as a whole.
