The Speaker, Benue House of Assembly, Mr Hyacinth Aondona-Dajoh, has urged people of the state to be patient with the new administration, assuring delivery of developmental projects soon.

The Speaker made the appeal during an unscheduled visit to The Alia Alliance Group in Abuja

He said that the government would focus on agriculture, health, education and provision of critical infrastructure to meet the yearning of the people.

Aondona-Dajoh said the legislative arm of government would work closely with the Executive and Judiciary to move the state forward.

He urged the Alia Alliance to continue to contribute to the development of the state, and join the fight against bad governance and corruption.

“I commend the efforts of The Alia Alliance in ensuring victory of the APC in Benue, which has also led to my emergence as Speaker.

“I urge Non-Governmental Organisations and individuals that as you to monitor some of the government projects, give them the reports in order for them to do more and ensure effectiveness in service delivery to the people.”

In his response, the Secretary General of the group, Mr Kelvins Dzeremo thanked the Speaker for the unscheduled visit, and congratulated him on his election to lead the Benue House of Assembly.

He urged him to be focused and diligent in carrying out his responsibilities, so as to achieve the best for the state.

Dzeremo assured that the group would remain unrelenting in its support for him and the state government. (NAN)
