Abuja, June 11, 2023 (NAN) Dr Andy Osakwe,of The Summit Bible Church and Convener,”This Generation Conference 2023″, has urged young Nigerians to set new standards of excellence in various fields of development.

Osakwe said this was necessary to build a better Nigeria for the good of all.

The cleric made the call at the opening of the Conference on Saturday in Abuja.

The conference which was organised by Buildman Leadership Foundation, the development arm of the Church, is titled ‘Taking Responsibility, Be the Standard’.

Osakwe who is the senior pastor of the church, stressed the need for the youth to serve as change agents by doing the right thing at all times.

“It is the only way that you will see the change you want to happen in the affairs of the country,” he added.

Osakwe said that the conference would equip young people to explore their strengths and realise their dreams in education, fashion, politics, governance, economy and other endeavours.

“It is time to set the standard in media and entertainment, and that is why we are here today,” he added.

Osakwe said “if people are properly taught, they will think properly, speak rightly and act right by doing the right thing”.

One of the resource persons, Richard Mofe-Damijo, a veteran Nigerian actor, said the youth should always allow God into their lives in whatever they do.

The veteran actor said that talent was never enough to set standards, adding that the ‘God factor’ was important in leading a life of excellence.

Other resource persons include Content Creator, Influencer and Film-Maker Dr Foy, Gospel Artist and Gospel Minister, Ms Ugee Royalty and the Chief Executive Officer, Nate Genius Films and Media Ltd, Mr Nathaniel Oguche.

Participants at the conference will undergo sessions on film-making, acting, content creation and music. (NAN)
