Gov-elect presents CoR to Paramount Ruler in Benue

Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia,the Gov-elect speaking during the presentation, Fr. Alia said the certificate was the result of the blessings the Och’Idoma earlier gave them as they embarked on the political journey to rescue Benue with all possible expedition.

He expresses the willingness of his administration to revive the hitherto non-functional role of traditional rulers in the scheme of things to enhance good governance and rapid socio-economic development at the grassroots, especially for the peace and security of the rural communities.

Fr. Alia prays for the Paramount ruler of the Idoma Kingdom, saying the will of God does not take one where His Grace will not sustain them. He expresses confidence that God will continue to support him with all the strength and wisdom he needs to succeed.

Responding, the Och’Idoma thanked Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and his Deputy, Barr. Sam Ode for their thoughtfulness, saying the will of God and that of Benue people were clearly expressed through their emergence as victors at the polls.

He bemoaned the lack of peace, unity and mercy in Benue State and advised the Governor-Elect to replace mercilessness with mercy and also make conscious efforts to eradicate corruption in Benue State.

The Och’Idoma said,by presenting their certificates to the Paramount rulers in the state, they have presented it to God.

He blessed them and promised to continue to support them in their efforts to build a Benue of their dreams.
