Amman (Jordan) Rev. John Nash, Chairman, New Life for All and Pastor, Church of Christ in Nations in Plateau, has urged Nigerians and the leadership to learn to forgive and seek God in their actions.
Nash gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Amman, Jordan.
“Our prayers for Nigeria is that leaders should learn to forgive, listen to God’s instruction before acting.
“We have a lot of bitterness against each other, starting from the leaders down, if we do not have forgiving spirit, then there is no how we will progress,” he added.
Nash who is among the ninth batch of Nigerian Christian pilgrims currently in Jordan, also called for reconciliation across all strata of the society.
“We learn how Jacob in the Bible wanted to reconcile with his brother and if we have that kind of reconciliation spirit like Jacob, then we will really progress in this country.
“So our prayer should always be focused on ‘Father forgive me as I forgive others’.
“Once that is done and we mean it from our hearts, I am sure there is going to be a big change in our nation where peace and national development will be enhanced” the cleric said.
