Alia to revoke ban on motorcycle in Sankera,address challenges,if elected

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has promised to revoke the ban on motorcycles in the Sankera axis of Benue North East.

Fr. Alia stated this while addressing a huge crowd of supporters at Tor-Donga in Katsina-Ala local government area of Benue State.

The priest of God expressed discontent with the manner to which the people of the area have been exposed to hardship as their major source of livelihood was banned and their fundamental right to freedom of movement has been infringed upon.

While promising to revoke the ban if elected as governor, Fr. Alia said
he would equally make provision for enough basic facilities, employment opportunities and effective empowerment Programmes to address youth restiveness in the area.

The priest of God who first led the team to.pay homage to the Katsina-Ala Area Traditional Council also interfaced with the Katsina-Ala chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners and other trade union groups in the area, assuring them of plans to address their challenges.

Earlier, the APC chairman in Katsina-Ala local government,
Hon. Sylvester Aluheen Mfetyoga, State Secretary of APC, Hon. Paul Biam, the Senatorial Candidate for Benue North East, Rt. Hon. Barrister Emmanuel Memga Udende, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo amongst others spoke elaborately outlining peculiar challenges in the area and appealed to Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia to make haste to save them if he becomes the governor of the state.

The team also visited Ukum and Logo local government areas.
