Alia to end insecurity, reunite IDPs with ancestral homes

The APC governorship candidate in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has promised to adopt fresh strategy to stem the rising tide of insecurity in Benue State should he be voted governor.

According to ISAAC UZAAN,
Media Aide to Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia,Fr. Alia made the promise at Naka, Gwer-West during his campaign tour of the area.

The priest of God bemoaned the level to which insecurity has deprived many people of adequate shelter, food and health services in the area.

He, however, promised to use any means legally permissible to end insecurity and reunite the displaced people with their ancestral homes.

Fr. Alia also assured the people of his intention to boost and upgrade farming in the area through timely provision of improved seeds and fertilizer.

He charged the people to vote for all APC candidates beginning from Bola Ahmed Tinubu down to state legislative assembly.

Earlier in their separate speeches,
Chief Godwin Ikyeleve, Prof. Eugene Aligba, Hon. Prince Simon Aondona, and Rev. Dr. Philip Tachin amongst others outlined their challenges and appealed to Fr. Alia to come to their rescue when he becomes the governor.

The event witnessed the decamping of 660 persons from PDP to APC led by the former chairman of Gwer West local government Hon. Samuel Abaji, Hon. Moses Adigili and Barr Humphrey Usher.

Others who spoke at the event include, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Benue North West (Zone B), Chief Titus Tartenger Zam, the D.G., Alia/Ode Campaign Organization, Rev. Dr. Fredrick Ikyaan and Hon. Philip Ugbegile amongst others.
