The 2023 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia restated his avowed commitment to taking Benue State out of the mould of poverty and underdevelopment.
Fr.Alia made this known today during a thanksgiving Service at the Great Apostle Ministry Giving Eternal Life International, Kyado, Ukum local government area of Benue State.
This is contained in a statement by Isaac Uzaan, Media Aide to Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia.
He promised to take Benue State, particularly the people of Sankera out of poverty through creation of Youth employment opportunities, review tax policies, enhance security and provision of enabling environment for investors, improved infrastructure as well as prompt payment of pension and salaries.
Fr. Alia said he is well aware of the trials and predicaments of the people of Sankera and he will employ any legal means to ensure that the lost glory of the people is restored.
He equally appealed to the people to vote for all the APC candidates beginning from the president down to the house of Assembly Candidates, adding that it is by doing so that governance will be made easy for him.
The General Overseer of the Great Apostle Ministry Giving Eternal Life International, Apostle King Dave Ajav who preached on the theme; “God Will Discover and Send a Man After his Heart”, encouraged Christians to handle little assignments given to them very well so that God will give them bigger opportunities.
He described Fr. Alia as David who worked on the physical and spiritual lives of Benue people and God has sent him to come and serve Benue therefore, anyone who fights him shall be destroyed like the Biblical Goliath.
In their separate remarks, the APC candidate for Benue Northeast Senatorial district (Zone A), Hon. Barr. Emmanuel Memga Udende, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo and Hon. Paul Biam lamented the deplorable state of affairs in Sankera, pointing out insecurity, poor road network, sustained curfew and ban on motorcycle as major challenges the Sankera people are faced with hence the called on them to vote all APC candidates into office for fair and transparent representation.
