BENUE GROUP,  G-9 POISED TO DEFEND INTEREST OF ZONE C SENATORIAL DISTRICT, CONDEMNS ATTACK ON FORMER MEMBER

Benue South Progressives Forum also known as G-9 reiterates it’s commitment to defend the interest of zone C. Senatorial district of Benue State

Before the Meeting, the group in their numbers paid a Condolence visit to one of the Prominent Sons of Idomaland, Sen. Dr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark over the demise of his son Mr. Tunde Mark. Tunde, the lovely and humble son of Sen. David B.A.Mark died in a London hospital a fourth night ago.

The Meeting which was well attended by members passed a Vote of Confidence on the Chairman, Chief Johnson Inalagwu Agada. Chief. Agada thanked all members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to double his efforts to lobby infrastructural development, political inclusion and Unity for the Zone. He stressed that plans are under way to roll out political road map for Idoma nation and enjoined the members and all sympathizers to consolidate on the gains recorded so far while negotiations with Candidates who have the right dispositions towards the yearning and aspirations of the people of Zone C continues.

The group reviewed its activities thus far and expressed satisfaction with the successes recorded. It further rejigged itself with the appointment and rectification of the following members into the offices below.
1. Amb. Mohammed Mabdul, immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to Algeria as *Deputy Chairman,G-9* .
2. Comrade Abba Yaro, immediate past State Chairman, APC Benue State as *member BOT, G-9.*
3. Amb. Prof. Dickson Akoh, National Commandant, Nigerian Peace Corps as *member BOT, G-9.*
4. Lady Kate Ijogi, fomer Commissioner, BESIEC as *member BOT, G-9*
5. Emmanuel Oche, Esq. Activist, Social justice Crusader and Abuja based Civil Rights Lawyer as **Publicity secretary,* *G-9* .*
6. Benedickson Idoko, Youth inclusion advocate and Activist as *Youths leader,G-9.*

The group admonished the Leadership of Benue State APC to come out clean and clear with their plans for the people of Zone C in order for the party to win all her elections in the state.

On the other hand, the group thanked the APC National Leadership and the presidential candidate, Alh. Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing some of her members into the 2023 presidential Campaign Council and assured the party and the Presidential Candidate of their unalloyed Support.

Reacting to the unwarranted attack on the fomer publicity Secretary and expelled member of G-9, Mr. Akor Ikwuoche, the group condemned the attack in totality and urged all and sundry especially the people of Zone C to refrain from any act of Violence. The group assured the public that they would give all the necessary support to Security Agencies to enable them unravel those behind the attack.

G-9 wishes Mr. Akor Ikwuoche quick recovery and advised those who are inclined to violence to desist from doing so as peace is the panacea for growth and development. The growth and development we seek can only be achieved in a convivial atmosphere of peace, love and respect for one another.
